Gathering @ Clarke Quay

I went to meet up with Colin, Wei Sheng, Kun Long, Peng Yee and Mui Khim today at Clarke Quay, as a gathering before we start our last semester in Poly.

Life’s gonna get busy, and we would not have the chance to meet up again anytime soon, especially when I will be having my Industrial Attachment Project (IAP) path first while they have their Final Year Project (FYP) path first.

We went to Brewerkz to chit chat while Colin have his beer (he won’t be happy without a beer :p) and we shared some appetizer. The food there is really good! Although the price is rather expensive for a poly student like me who does not work any part time job; nonetheless, the atmosphere there is great. Quite relaxing.

After that we went to have a walk at Liang Court (亮阁) shopping centre. I have been there several times with my family, but I didn’t know the place is called Liang Court and I didn’t get to explore much by myself.

Kun Long introduced the Japanese food there to us, and I had the Chicken Katsu Curry Rice. It was real delicious! The best japanese curry I ever eaten in my life (for the moment)! It cost me 10 bucks and I find that it really worth it! So, try it when you go there next time alright? :p

Then, it was a big eye opener! Kun Long brought me to tour around Meidi-Ya! It is a supermarket which sells mainly Japan imported projects! The cup noodles, snacks and stuffs which are selling there can only be found there, in Meidi-Ya. You can never find those products in those other supermarket in Singapore, such as NTUC Fairprice, Sheng Siong and etc.

There even sell sushi! They look so damn fresh and delicious~ There are also imported fruits selling there. Cool isn’t it? Even the price is cool. It’s the first time I see such a BIG fuji apple, and worth around 50 bucks each or so. The honeydew worth 75 bucks, my jaws drop open wide that I have to close my mouth using my hands (abit exaggerated, I know :p)

We went back after that, that’s all for today! And yeah, I went to cut my hair. I look so much neater now :D I’m ready for work on this coming monday! Come on! Let’s go! xD

I’m real excited and looking forward to work at the Boys’ Brigade Head Quarter! Seriously I’d prefer to work outside, running around and sweat it all out, rather than working inside the office, sitting in front of the computer. Both are experience, but I like outdoor stuffs – I used to be a sportsman afterall! :p

Okay larh, both indoor and outdoor I also like actually. Prefered more on outdoor though, also since Roger like to work indoor, if they were to let me choose, I’ll take outdoor since he likes indoor, while I don’t mind either one.

I’m getting naggy! I’ll shall stop here. Cheerios!!

Map Exploring @ Tiong Bahru (Just like RPG game LOL)

I have been assigned to the Boys’ Brigade in Singapore as my attachment company! It’s located at 105 Ganges Avenue. I will be working there for 12 weeks (3 months), hope to get to know more people and learn more stuffs, and most important of all, gain working experience! :D

I am a very hardworking person! And this kind of work requires lot of commitment, I’m sure I can handle them! :D Afterall, I’m someone who have a warmth family and have no girlfriend+not intending to have, I can stay focus and stay commited to the work assigned to me and get them done in time! xD

Okay, back to today’s post. Meet up with Roger and James to find our workplace. Go there once to find out how to get there and how long it takes. Also to pay a visit to our future colleages :p

We meet up with Mr Joseph Ang, our supervisor. He is a friendly person, nice to talk to; the kind whom I respect. :D

Truly hope that I will not cause him any trouble in future during my work @ Boy’s Brigade.

One thing I must point out is that, I LOVE MY PHONE (W760i)!! We tried to locate Boys’ Brigade HQ via walking from Tiong Bahru MRT Station and we kinda lost our way / mistracked, however, Roger commented:

“If you GPS can check then good liao”

I go and check my phone’s function, REALLY got GPS system – Google Maps!

Faster go and check.. and find out that we are supposed to go NORTH, but we made a wrong turn at the 4 ways junction previously, we are so close to Singapore River O_o”

So we walked and checked the map and finally reached our destination! It is SOOOOOO INTERESTING! Like some kind of TREASURE HUNT LOL! The bus stops along the way are the checkpoints, and the Boys’ Brigade HQ is our final destination! Wahahas.

Also remind me of those RPG (Role-Playing Game) on video game consoles, where you controlled the main character and runs around the world in the game, exploring the map / world. It’s almost just like what we did, we walk for a while and refresh the Google Map to check where are we, and get to see further area only when we reached there! :D

After that, we went to Buona Vista to accompany James to his workplace at DSO International Laboratories, it is located at NUS Campus area. After finding our the location of his company building, we went to explore around NUS Campus building – just some of the buildings only.. The whole campus is SO BIG!!! Looking at the map made my jaws drop!

How I wish to study in a University in future, after my 2 years serving for National Service (NS)! It is always my dream to study in a university! It’s quite silly, but after watching all those Taiwan Idol Drama (台湾偶像剧) and I was still kinda naive, plus the fact is that those shows all took place in university (not high school, not college), it kinda make me WANT to study in university also. HAHA!

Well anyway, my more realistic dream is that, I’ve always wanted to be a successful person. But how could I be successful? I’m a naive person, I believe in hard work, and most important – determination.

My favorite quote -> Determination is the key to success <- Of course, the full quote is much longer, but currently this is the only line which lies in my mind, also is the most important line of my favorite quote.

I’ve always believe that as long as I worked hard enough, I can do it. Although there are times where failures still comes, I will still tell myself to go on. Because I believe that one day, I will shine.

Oh come on, look how far I have side track to. In fact, I have sidetracked even more, side track until typing out some stuffs which I’ve got no one to talk to about. However, I’ve highlighted all of them and pressed backspace LOL. Been typing this post for almost 2 hours!!!! Due to the damn sidetrack! Yet deleted like three quarter of them :p

Type until so emo! Wahahas. Okay larh, I’ll stop here for now, will update my blog once I got more things to talk about. Thanks for visiting my blog! :D

Life is so unpredictable

Live is so unpredictable. Most of us are trying our very best to get the best results in everything that we do, but, no matter how hard we tried, things always turns out to be something which we don’t want it to be.

Agree?

There are so many things which happens, good things, bad things, and most of them are unexpected outcomes. I don’t know how to phrase it, but damn it, things just don’t turns out well.

Many things had happened and I’ve been troubled by them lately; things just goes in and out of my mind, and I’m not having any peace at all. Yet worst come to worst, there’s no one for me to talk to, not like anyone is so free to listen to all my rantings.

Friends, I have many. All types of friends, all sort of friends. But not all of them are good listeners whom I can speak my mind to. Even if some of them are good listeners, my relationship with them has still not come to a level where I would feel comfortable to speak my personal stuffs with them.

Most of them are good friends to go out with, to work together with, to play sports with, to club with, to go sun tanning with, to play game together with, to lunch together and so on and so forth.. but not one are good listener PLUS close to me PLUS free to listen to my rantings, as in “got the spare time” to listen to my rantings.

Sometimes I just felt so empty inside, you know what I meant? Inside as in deep inside my heart, like no one to speak to, so many troubles cramping deep inside my heart, and up in my mind… I’m afraid that one day, they just goes out of bound, over the limit, and I just went crazy and mental break down.

Things happens. Today, I may be here, typing and posting a blog entry. But tomorrow, you might see my photo on the newspaper, or on the channel news asia, announcing that I passed away or something.

TOUCHWOOD! *smack the table <- my table’s made of wood*

But still, nothing is impossible in this world you live in. Life is so unpredictable, please do treasure those people who are precious to you.

Never wait until your computer is being hacked by a hacker, then start to think of installing a firewall. Stupid example uh? As long as the meaning is there can already, haha. Hope you understand what I’m trying to say.

Cheerios!

So much to blog! Can’t think of a specific title!

Suddenly got the feel of posting a blog entry. haha, been enjoying a peaceful life these days. The peace going to end on 1st September 2008 – Attachment starts! And I got SO MUCH TO BLOG now. SO MANY different stuffs.. wondering which to talk about first.

Okay, guess I’ll start with the show I’m catching now. 溏心风暴 (Heart of Greed), a very famous Hong Kong show. Said to be one of the top Hong Kong Drama series in the year 2007, a big show.

Currently I watched until episode 6 only.. Going to watch this series slowly! Wahahas.. Gonna be the last drama series I’d watch before going for attachment!

Next, I watched the two Beijing Olympic 2008 Basketball matches – Bronze and Gold medal matches!

Lithuania VS Argentina for the Bronze medal – this match was awfully boring! A typical country VS country match. Not very entertaining.. Argentina is obviously leading and chopping Lithuania all the way.

USA VS Spain for the Gold medal – this match is ULTRA NICE! Very interesting! In the first quarter, both teams already have over 30 points each! Both teams play a very high standard of basketball!

This is the first time I watch USA basketball team play in this season of olympic games and not OBVIOUSLY chopping the other team! Seriously, USA is leading and they tired to extend the points gap to 20+, but Spain AGAIN and AGAIN reduce the points gap back to 1 digit! It’s so exciting! I actually screamed at my TV! wahahas!

Although Spain lose, but they lost it nice. The final score is USA 118 – 107 Spain, both teams with scores over 100 and it’s a close fight! (USA wins all games at over 20+)

Okay, here ends the excitement. What else? Oh yeah, I’ve been playing this PSP game, which I find it really nice – Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology. I’ve always been a fan to the Tales series, Tales of Eternia, Tales of Destiny 1 & 2, Tales of Phantasia, and Tales of Abyss.

I find this game quite a good make, combining some of the characters from various Tales series. Catch this game if you’d like. For people who didn’t play Tales series game before can understand this game too, it doesn’t require you to have any information about the other make anyway ;D

Maybe I shall review this game after I’ve complete it! YEAH! hahaha. So is the 溏心风暴 (Heart of Greed) drama show, maybe shall talk more bout it when I finish watching it. hehes.

Last but not least, my friend have entered a competition thing. Do help me vote for her okay! Here’s the link! Thanks for the vote! :D

Till I blog again! Cheers!

The Fate 숙명 (Korea Movie)

I caught this movie with Hui Fang at AMK Hub today. It was quite a nice show!

I enjoyed the whole 123 minutes (Yes, a nice nice number of 123 minutes LOL). The show start out with a lot of actions, fighting and stuffs. It make me goes WOW upon the starting of the movie.

There are hilarious scenes, touching scenes, and of course unexpected twists. Quite a meaningful show to catch. The ending wasn’t that great, but still a good one (if you know what I meant :D )

This is the first time I ever watched a Korea Movie O_o Anyway, you guys can find out more about the show if you’d like to, from the Korean Movie website.

Here’s the synopsis of the show:

In the dark criminal world of Seoul, U-min (Song), Cheol-jung (Kwon), Do-wan (Kim In-kwon) and Yeong-hwan (Ji Sung) are close friends in a gang. One day, with the help of an older member Gang-seop (Ahn Nae-seong), U-min, Cheol-jung and Do-wan attack the gang’s casino so they can start new lives. But their plan goes awry when Cheol-jung betrays them, and U-min goes to prison. He becomes the scapegoat to save his friends’ lives.

After serving his time, U-min wants to stay out of trouble but is drawn back into the underworld when he sees what has become of his friends: money and power-hungry Cheol-jung continues to betray others as he climbs up the gang ladder; Do-wan is a drug user; Gang-seop is missing; and his girlfriend Eun-yeong (Park Han-byul) has left him to run a bar as the boss’ mistress.

As U-min tries to solve the situation, however, unfortunate twists of fate set off one misunderstanding after another. To make matters worse, the mob boss and right-hand man Yoeng-hwan get them involved in a huge drug deal. Once again thrown into a game with high stakes and big cash, the once best friends must fight one another for their lives.

If you’re going to watch this show, DO NOT HIGHLIGHT the above chunk of text if you don’t want spoiler. (:

Go catch this show soon!

布衣神相 (Face to Fate)

I just finish watching this hong kong drama series, 布衣神相 (Face to Fate).

30 episodes in total, it was a rather nice show. It uses a historical 神相 (Life predictor?) whom is very famous because he is very accurate, thus people call him 神相 (accurate until as though he is the god himself), his name is 赖布衣 (Lai Bu Yi).

However, this show goes around two main character, 赖药儿 (Lai Yao Er), the greatest physician and 李布衣 (Li Bu Yi), the famous life predictor.

Wanting to live a peaceful life and not care about the fights between the two clans, Justice clan and Evil clan, but nonethelessly, they get involved in them and the misadventure starts…

Go catch this show, it’s a good one :D

The Duke of the Mount Deer (Most touching drama series ever)

The Duke of the Mount Deer

This drama series has 40 episodes. Go watch it. It took me around 4 or 5 days to complete this series.

It is damn nice, funny and interesting. And when it comes to an end, there are many twists and unexpected stuffs and many touching parts.

I’ve never cried over an drama series so hard before; I’m damn emo person, and I admit I shed tears in many drama series. But never cried like fuck like what i’m doing now before.

I’m watching episode 39 now, the last second episode. I’m seriously crying like no tomorrow. The show is goddamn touching… Anyone with hot blood flowing in their body would cry – one episode around 45 minutes. 45 * 40 = 1800 minutes aka 30 hours watching.. in a row! Watch them grow, watch them die.

Smile at it. Laugh at it. Angry at it. Sad at it. Cry at it.

There’s so many struggles. Kangxi and Wei Xiao Bao. Who’s right who’s wrong? There’s no right or wrong. Put yourself in their shoes and you’ll know why…

They got their part to play, and both of them are doing what’s right to them.

Okay, back to the show.. Anyone who are looking for a nice and touching yet SUPER interesting and hilarious drama series, please go watch The Duke of Mount Deerby Dicky Cheung (Zhang Wei Jian 张卫健)

I highly recommend it.

Demi Gods & Semi Devils (天龙八部)

I’ve just finished watching the mainland year 2003 release of Demi Gods & Semi Devils a.k.a Tian Long Ba Bu (天龙八部) series of Jin Yong (金庸), it was a great one xD

The ending is nonethelessly, sad and rather a typical ending for Jin Yong drama series, but the effect was really great. It was ultra touching! I bet you’ll shed your tears for the show & for the ending.

In fact, to compare the ending of Demi Gods & Semi Devils with other Jin Yong shows, I’d say Demi Gods & Semi Devils has the best ending out of all ;P

*Spoiler*
Xiao Feng (萧峰) had a noble death as a hero who stopped the war between Liao Kingdom and Song Kingdom. Although It was upsetting to see him died, but I feel for him, and he have my respect. (:
*End of spoiler*

The show start out rather boring for most people, but as the story goes, it just turns better and better; trust me, it’s worth watching. I myself is a loyal Jin Yong novel fan, and I like this show. Interested people can watch it at Crunchyroll -> Demi Gods & Semi Devils <- This is the direct link to this series.

Oh my god, I actually finished this drama’s all 40 episodes in 3 or 4 days I think. It was really addictive! A very nice series! I’d recommend you guys to watch it.

The cast are Hu Jun (胡军) as Siao Feng (萧峰), Jimmy Lin Chih Ying (林志颖) as Duan Yu (段誉), Gao Hu (高胡) as Xu Zhu (虚竹), Crystal Liu Yi Fei (刘亦菲) as Wang Yu Yan (王語嫣) and many more other famous actor and actress from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

That’s all about it, Cheerios! xD

No more common test in Poly!

I just finish my Interpersonal Communication Skills module common test! I’m so high now! Woots~!!

This is going to be the LAST common test paper I’d ever going to take in my poly life! No more common test! :D

On the 20th August 2008 will be my LAST exam paper! And then, I’m examlessI don’t think there’s such a word though ;P

Next semester will only consist of Industrial Attachment and Final Year Project, no more exams nor is there any written test! No more memorising and stuffs anymore! WAHAHAHAS!!!

There’s still projects and stuffs to stress though ;/ but anyway, let’s hope my life goes great in future.

I gonna grant myself holidays for the time being, until a few days left before 20th August 2008 then I start to worry about my final EXAM in my poly life! :D

Cheers!

Two legged dog (what about humans?)

I’ve come across this article about a dog who for some reasons (not mentioned in the article), lost her two front legs. However, she survived and she’s having a meaningful life now, working with the humans.

Here are some pictures:

As long as you believe in it and have trust in yourself, nothing is impossible.

Even a dog is able to do it, how about you, human beings? (:

Mummy 3 & Buffet @ Suki Sushi

Today is a super long and tiring day! I’ll start off from a short and non spoiler review on the movie, The Mummy 3 – The Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Today is the first day it’s officially showing in Singapore.

Seriously this movie doesn’t really matter whether you watched Mummy 1 and Mummy 2 before or not, they don’t have much link. Although they did mentioned that the previous shows DID existed, but never go into any of it.

Therefore, if you’re hesitating whether to watch this Mummy 3 because you haven’t watched Mummy 1 and Mummy 2, don’t worry! Just watch this one :D

As seen from the trailer, Mummy 3 Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is based in China – they are obviously trying to say that Jet Li, whom is the Emperor, is Qin Shi Huang (秦始皇), the first China emperor.

BUT BUT BUT! They are very smart. Through out the show, they didn’t mentioned even one time the word “Qin Shi Huang”. Because they sort of modified the “legend” of Qin Shi Huang to fit this show, thus surely there will be people who are unhappy about it and will say nasty things about this show. Thus they make it obvious, but never say it is. Smart right? :p

Okay, in case of spoiler, I’ll not say more things about the show. The cast are as usual, from Mummy 1 and Mummy 2, and main cast for this show – Brendan Fraser as Rick O’Connell, Luke Fort as Alex O’Connel, Jet Li as Emperor Han, Michelle Yeoh as Zi Juan, Isabella Leong as Lin, and Anthony Huang Qiu Sheng as General Yang.

One last thing I must say about this movie is… The director is smart, but he miss out something REALLY IMPORTANT.

Okay, first of all, in this movie, there are parts when they speaks CHINESE (they are ancient chinese people afterall, all speaks chinese) to be realistic. And it DOES make it more realistic. And at other parts, they speaks ENGLISH (Of course). Minor parts of the show, they speaks ANCIENT CHINESE (those even longer before chinese is invented).

There is a BIG BIG logic error. In the movie, there are two people who belongs to over 2000 years ago, IN CHINA SOMEMORE. I’m not going to say is who, anyway, just be known that there are this TWO people existed. All along, they speaks CHINESE LANGUAGE.

But all of a SUDDEN! They speaks FLUENT ENGLISH! I don’t know what happened, and I don’t know if other people realises this… For one of them, maybe she sneak out and study english when she’s free ;x But the other one is buried, HOW HE GO OUT LEARN ENGLISH???

Well, maybe there’s other reason. Cannot be for the sake of the show, because if it is, why don’t he all the way speaks english? Why sometimes chinese sometimes english? LOL..

Okay end of Mummy 3 movie!

Today went for a buffet at Cineleisure’s Suki Sushi with James, Jiew Meng, Wei Xiong, Alvin Han, Li Zhi, and Kim. The whole session was damn fun and we laughed like mad. Been long since I last had good times like this, have buffet and chit chat, laugh and laugh until the stomach cramp. LOL.

Let’s have buffet again some other time man! :D

Then went to watch Mummy 3 as mentioned at the start of this post. It was quite a good catch. Although the show name is very the NOT MUMMY. If you let me choose, I’d call it The Zombies or The legendary Hydra, or be more lame, The Chinese Monster! O_O

Went to have a walk around town after that.. Town is too small already larh! Should make it bigger! LOL.. no place to walk! Aww..

Back home after that! It was a long and tiring day! Wahahas!
