Gryphon Platoon 2 BBQ @ Pottery Jungle

Gryphon Platoon 2 had our first ever BBQ gathering on the 10th December 2009, I’m really glad that the attendance is pretty good!

It was really super fun lah! First of all, the venue – Si Lie provided us with the location, which is the Pottery Jungle, chinese writes it as 世外陶源, which means somewhere very peaceful and nice, as though it does not belongs to the outside world.

I think it’s pretty true, like what he told us previously, “It’s a kampong” – at first we still thought that he was just kidding about the “kampong” thing :p The place is really amazingly peaceful and is full of nature! Si Lie brought us for a short “excursion” to the back of the pottery jungle there, we walked on hill routes as though we were having field camp in civilian clothes, it’s quite cool!

The whole place is totally thumbs up except for one flaw – the mosquitoes there are frigging desperate~!! Worst than tekong’s mosquito. But actually can understand them lah, in tekong, every batch got over thousands fresh new human blood let them suck, over here damn limited

In fact, most of us were amazed that there are still such a nature preserved place around & exist in Singapore. For those who want to know the name of the place, it is Lorong Tawas, very near Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
