Artillery FH2000 Specialist VS Infantry Specialist
I heard from my Sergeants yesterday when we booked in for a few hours just to put our stuffs, they said that there will be no more road march because soldiers in the Artillery believes in technology to drive us to the battlefield, however, due to the fact that my specialisation is FH2000 155mm, the people in my entire course would need to be very fit and efficient in terms of physical fitness (IPPT) as well as combat fitness (Standard Obstacles Course).
Have I even mentioned that my entire course only has (2 detachment) 16 people? I don’t know we are lucky or unlucky, because all other specialisation (e.g. Mortar, Gunnery, etc) has far more intake than this. None of my SISPEC BRAVO mates went to the same specialisation as me though…
Well, is there any kind souls out there who are willing to enlighten me by giving me a rough idea of the general differences of being a Artillery FH2000 Specialist, compared to being an Infantry Specialist in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF)?
